Miriam Zinter is a Mortgage Officer for the Community Preservation Corporation, a not-for-profit lender that specializes in providing capital for the development and improvement of affordable housing and housing for people with special needs; as well as providing refinancing options for large residential properties through government backed loan products. 

Miriam underwrites loans for the Western New York area which includes Rochester and Buffalo as well as outlying communities.  Before working for CPC, Miriam worked for the Greater Rochester Housing Partnership, as a Project Manager and the City of Rochester, as a Senior Housing Developer.  Miriam has over twenty-five years in housing development experience, and has developed almost a thousand units of housing.  Miriam has made it her life’s work to support and encourage affordable housing options for low and moderate income individuals and families.

She currently sits on the board for both the House of Mercy and PathStone. Miriam works with the Rochester Pillars, a group of African-American and Hispanic professionals who work with sixth grade students in the Rochester City School District encouraging them to continue their education. Miriam is a lifelong Central New Yorker – and received her Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education from SUNY Geneseo and her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
